Hadapanagala reservoir

There are many beautiful places with panoramic views in Sri Lanka. Hadapanagala reservoir is one such place that many local and foreign tourists get attracted with. It is located 16km away from Wellawaya. The rocky plain on either side of the bunt is the best place to see the beauty of the reservoir. It is full of water throughout the year as it is fed by Kiridi Oya. 

The dusky evenings are the best time of the day to watch elephants that arrive near the tank. The surrounding of Hadapanagala reservoir is a place that consists of a variety of biodiversity. Not only the flora but also fauna found in this area are unique and special. Therefore not only herds of elephants but also different kinds of species of birds, animals, aquatic lives are available in this environment. 

The serenity of this place, the breathtaking views  of Hadapanagala reservoir form the vivid as well as memorable images of the mind of the visitors.
