Migrants arrive, Sri Lanka, without visas
Sri Lanka is a paradise and famous for its natural beauty. The beauty of this lady is enhanced by its ultimate attractive nature which consists of mountain ranges, waterfalls, rivers, botanical gardens, rain forests, flora and fauna endemic birds and so on.
Here we talk about how the migrants who arrive, Sri Lanka, beautify our motherland. Those are none other than the migratory birds who visit Sri Lanka.
Migratory birds usually visit Sri Lanka in August and stay here until April, in spring. They fly around our home gardens, chirp enchanting songs and make us happier. The routes of their arrival are too amazing.
Migratory birds choose either Eastern route or Western route for migration. Most of the migratory birds choose the Eastern route as follows.
Eastern route falls from the East coast of India to Jaffna peninsula. The migratory birds who fly from Syberia and the countries close proximity to the North pole too join this route. They fly across Thailand, Myanmar and visit the East coast of India. Then they reach the Jaffna peninsula passing across the Palk Strait.
Some migratory birds who visit from Philippine and China are believed to stay and rest in Andaman islands before they reach Sri Lanka across the Bay of Bengal.
Not only that, the migratory birds who have less capacity of flying long distances are believed to visit Sri Lanka from Eastern route flying across Adam's bridge in Sri Lanka.
Some migratory birds choose the Western route. They fly from Eastern Europe, the North Western areas of India, Kashmir, Pakistan reach Sri Lanka from this Western route. They fly from the West coast of India and enter Chillaw, Kalutara, the regions in the West coast of Sri Lanka.
