"A picture speaks a thousand words" is a famous saying that used when a single picture conveys a complex idea. Photography is an enjoyable hobby which helps to build up a calm and relaxed mind as well as it is a good source of income. However, the photographers themselves lead people to the tranquillity. 

Here I'm posting a few pictures captured by a versatile photographer of Sri Lanka. Let your mind to get connected with these photographs and feel free to express your thoughts. The idea comes up to your mind can be varied and may depend on you.

Mr.Gamini Mendis is a versatile photographer who touched different genres through his third eye to capture various moments of the life of SriLanka. He is not only a photographer but also a cinematographer, an author, a lyricist, a photojournalist and an educator. He started his career as a journalist in 1975. During his lifetime, he worked in many local newspapers. At last, he worked in Upali Newspaper Limited as a photojournalist. He conducted two photography exhibitions in the 90s and they were well appreciated. He published a photographic book as well to impart knowledge on photography. Above posted photographs have extracted from his book "Kachayaka Piyasatahan". He passed away at the age of 60 on 26th June 2012.
